Regular meeting September 27, 2017

The regular September meeting was postponed to September 29th due to the antics of Hurricane Irma.  Our guild meeting was busy with making preparations for our quilt show next week.  Much of the work in preparation for the quilt show occurs the three days prior to the show.  Everyone needs to be at the Armory those three days to make our show a successful one.  There were fifteen talented guild

August 2017 Workshop

Creattive Quilters came together to make wheelchair bags and put together the fabric grab bags for the quilt show.  We had two guests, Maxine Wall and Carolyn Crabtree, who helped construct wheelchair bags.  Thank you.   Members who could not attend can bring wheelchair bags to the September meeting.
 

Show and Tell August 2017

Susie Gemmel and Franee McGahey shared their quilting journey with guild members.  Displayed is Susie and Franee's favorite quilt.  They made the signature quilt for their brother-on-law during his liver transplant 7 years ago.  Both brother-in-law and quilt are doing great.  In Show and Tell, many members were showing their UFO's - now finished- for this year's guild challlenge. 

July Workshop

Creative Quilters were lucky to have Dianne Hysell, from A White Sew and Vac Center of Crystal River, come and lead a class in the art of Bargello quilting.  Bargello is sewing strips of fabric together then re-cutting into strip and these are sewn into a pattern.
