Veterans Day was emotional for Creative Quilters  and brought home the realities of the sacrifices our m

October Show and Tell

Besides the usual, or rather,  unusual items shown this month was the presentation of lap size quilts to a representitive of the Sherriff's Department.  Detective Jacob, "Jake" Chenweth came to collect the quilts.  He has just begun with the Community Crimes Unit, so didn't have a lot of cases to refer to, but did say he was involved with removing children from a house.

MaryAnn's Reverse Applicate Workshop

 Traditionally, applique is sewing small pieces of fabric to a fabric background.  Reverse applique is, precisely what it sounds like, layering fabrics and cutting through the top layers to expose the layers beneath.  Learning reverse applique is simmilar to driving in a foreign country on the opposite side of the road, your mind has to think backwards.

September Show and Tell

Pat shocked everyone by showing her completed Row by Rows.  A mind boggling task.  Show and Tell also had other amazing projects.

Articles shown today ranged from Candace's antique quilt blocks to Joanne's embroidered purse to Pat's 3D wall hanging and everything in-between.
